Health & Safety
Since its inception Sainsbury Heating has made health & safety a priority. In its early days all staff and site staff were trained to IOSH. The company has never lost sight of its goal of being on top of all health and safety issues, continually seeking out ways to eliminate accidents. The first priority was to take on board external consultants to scrutinise internal policies and working practices both at head office and on site. Sainsbury Heating has had external consultants involved since 1998. For the last three years Croner Consulting (one of the biggest Health & Safety Consultants) has been looking after all health & safety policies, practices and legislation. Not withstanding this commercial Director Andy Woods has been MIOSH trained and looks after all Sainsbury Heating’s day to day management of Health & Safety, coordinating all our polices, actions and legislation with Croner Consulting and the rest of the Sainsbury Management Team. Sainsbury Heating has an accident frequency rate of .0041, and as its employee base increases, more training and safe working practices are adopted to keep all risk managed and to a minimum.
Training
Running hand in hand with health & safety, training is high on the list for Sainsbury Heating. In this area too, external consultants are employed to make sure the company continues to focus on the training plans both of individuals and of the company. Gaining IIP accreditation in 2003 is testament to their goal of having the right employees with the right skills. Committed to CSCS, all employees are in possession of the relevant cards. |
